That would be a Close encounter of the first kind…

The spaceship of course has to be an UFO.

And it would be cool if you show people running away from it.

Yes, but you may change the type as you work on it.

For example a THIRD KIND thread might become a 1st KIND thread.

I might try to get into this. It’ll be my first, but I just have one really good question… do either entries have to involve a kid or actual interaction with a character on screen?

Yes, I belive so. If your confident in your realism, you may not need it, though it wouid be a big help.

You may have intereaction if you wish to, but it all depends on the type of encounter.

For example on a close encounter of the first kind, you might only have a flying saucer on top of a building.

I can think of a couple of scenarios (sp?) that wouldn’t need any live action shot to make it believable. What it would really come down to is the quality of the storyboard, action, and render. Now that being said, I’m not even sure if I could pull it off, but I’m sure going to try (maybe).

This is my first time in an FXwar, a concept ive liked since it started. i have truly been amazed by many of the past FXwars and what people have come up with.
Ive decided to participate in this one because i think it is a very good way to learn new ways of thinking and solving problems.

so does it have to have all the encounters?
oh oh and its like a short little movie that flow from one encouter to the other? or can it be like a show reel? or any thing long as it got the encounters?

i have max 8 at work and want to test out some of the new features.(if i do this challange Roberto you might now see my DSG. Sniff sniff untill Dec 20th after 12:00PM)

Aliens + crop circles + Flying Sauccer kinda thing.
