I had hoped to time this one but I got interrupted constantly, so I could only guess… and very inaccurately at that.
this is still base even now, but I’m posting to force myself tomorrow :p.
edit: I’ll finish this one but not in sketch form, too noobsy for good composition and colour lol.
So much Superb work here.
elmasfeo danielh deevad, really good work!
eskarina, pretty amazing.
hmmm. not my favourite drawing ever
but I shall post it anyway. I still have trouble drawing humans without any reference. Oh well! My attempt:

35 minutes (got annoyed) and photoshop.
Wasn’t sure when the deadline on this is. I’ve started a piece and I’m about 4 hours into it. Am posting a gif of my progress along with my initial sketch…initial sketch was about 20 min, I believe. I’m really enjoying this piece and was going to post when done, but was getting afraid cause I didn’t know when my deadline is supposed to be.
Please let me know if this is not ok and I’ll change or delete my post, but deadline date would be great to know.
The piece is called Just One Little Bite.
Thanks,
Cris

Great piece, Cris. I love the GIF!
Put your fears behind you because there really is no deadline. You have until about Saturday the 4th of November if you want to finish when the voting starts but even at that voting takes place throughout the following week so someone might check into this thread in a couple of weeks and think yours is awesome and vote for it. But you can work on it even after the voting. In fact, there is no hard-n-fast rule that you can’t go into past threads if you see a topic you like and post your painting. Even the time limits (Modern Vampire doesn’t have a time limit) are more like guidelines to help you focus on the piece and improve your technique, but they don’t stop you from posting and receiving praise.
So go ahead and update this if you’d like. And we’d love to see more from you.
great to see this in here Cris, i really liked your idea when i saw this in your sketchbook thread. ![]()
@JTD, good to hear that, wasn’t quite sure on the deadline question myself. thanks-
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments, John, Jan and Vivien.
Boy, there’s some cool pieces in the thread.
Cris
I mean that I remembered your avatar and I remembered your real name from seeing it somewhere else but I didn’t remember “eskarina”… blah, it doesn’t matter, good entries everyone! and thanks to those who commented my work!
Cris - greeeaat one, in case you are are still working on it I think that the bunny might need a bit more of light coming from the moon… imo. …And also in case you are still working on it, don’t forget to post it when finished!
Why did I think this thread was self portrait as a vampire?
Ah well, i did – and here it is:
Several hours, all told. Had a total blast - hope to add a background soon to make it a complete piece.
Self-Portrait: Vampire Acolyte

Photoshop, ref photo of myself, sans fangs
It took a while to get in tonight. Wanted to get the final version of this piece in. Final tab came in around 6 1/2 hours in Painter IX…it’s just that I wasn’t able to work on it at one sitting. I really enjoyed doing this piece. I hope you enjoy it. I love these Daily Sketches…there is always such wonderful variety and some amazing work.
elmasfeo, thanks for the comments…I did want to add more lights…hope this is what you were meaning.
Thanks,
Cris
Renee, I was having trouble posting last night so I couldn’t get this on here, but, I believe there was thread on doing yourself as a vampire. Of course, that would make it a Modern Vampire as well, so it worked out fine.
Nice work.
Cris
might be a bit late, but i’ll still put it up, here it goes:

several hours, pencil sketch(see sketchbook;) ), scanned and colored in Photoshop CS2
