GSmiley, Vahn and DeeVad: great sketches!

[b]very good entries guys!

PS/wacom almost 30min - think it will hit that helicopter:scream:

#35

25 min, photoshop + wacom

It’s my second serious attempt with my wacom. It’a hard to be good with that…a lot of practice needed.

So I am pretty happy with the result. I hope to respect the subject. I wanted to say that a car crash it’s not funny like what we see on tv. Somebody is in the car and try to go escape.

Solarix: cool car
deaderthanred: very great style

#36

Thanks wiggin. Actually it was what is known as a happy accident. I used painterIX(which I am still learning) and did a digital water colour layer with chalk/oils on a seperate layer which did that weird thing with the thick brushstrokes!

#37

Lol, may God bless the happy accidents.

#38

Mine took more than 30 mins. I suck at drawing cars…

Overall I think it took me around 45 minutes.

#39

wow - alot of good entries

daw - funny

I can so totally see this image as a very large thickly painted canvas - beautiful

Gord

#40

thank you.

#41

Deaderthanred; pipichu: Nice work! I particularly like deaderthanred’s- I like the idea of racing in the sewers…wouldn’t want to do it though.

#42

daw: very funny sketch lol i like how you expressed everything with very simple strokes

Louis.cho: thanks  you really captured the heat in the colors in your sketch!

pipichu: :applause:

paperclip: thanks! the sewer idea was really random… i accidentally blurred too much of the “road” while shading it, and it looked like water and i thought why not water?

#43

Daw - Great idea!
Lous.cho - love the look, the hand and colors almost remind me of some oldschool anime styles.
pipichu - This is absolutely wonderful, full of action and colors (if I tried to use that many colors it would look like an exploding rainbow).

Well here’s mine at the 30 minute mark, right before all the fun stuff happens :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: It’s gone untill I can figure out how to keep it’s original size when I upload it.
I HATE YOU PHOTOBUCKET!!! It’s under 512 kb, to. If anyone knows how to fix the problem, because I get it ALL the time, or knows of a better free image hosting site, please tell me. Thank you.

Here is an image created in Painter 9. It took 25 minutes (would have spent 30 had I realized I was looking at the limit for the wrong sketch :stuck_out_tongue: ).

It’s supposed to represent two locomotive-like vehicles, racing on a sea of ice. What it actuaclly resembles though…

30 minutes for a sketch seems like plenty of time, until you actually try doing it.

#45

I always use imageshack.us to host my sketches. It hasn’t given me any problems. I just use the direct link to the image. I don’t know if its the best, but its good enough.

#46

About 20 minutes w/ Corel PSP.
