!WARNIG!

If you’re using 3D glasses while looking at this sketch, it might appear real.
This is NOT the fact. This is a fictional sketch drawn on virtual canvas.
If you have a vivid imagination, please consider not wearing 3D glasses.

You might look at this picture on your own risk.

:deal:

TB + PS, ~55mn (click for bigger version)

Creeto - I so wish I had 3d glasses with me - Its interesting tho, to have 3d sketches. How did u do it? Very interested to know.

And heres mine.
You would rarely find any Indian whos isnt a fan of Sachin Tendulkar. (wiki link). The guy has played for over 20 years now, from being a boy wonder to a fine seasoned player now. Hes become quite synonymous with the sport itself in my country. Like his fans say, He’s the God!

PS, 1 hr…Used ref for that poster sketch.

Hey Creeto I tried the 3D glasses I had for Avatar and they don’t work but its neat effect it just doesn’t work so I guess I will need to use my imagination… : )
Cool effect though…

brookselliott, you saw Avatar in polarized 3D while this picture uses the anaglyph (red/blue) technique
polarized 3D glasses are only useful is you have a special projector or monitor
you can get a pair of red/blue glasses for free in any toy store. they always have them for books and such

i didn’t spent too much time on the 3D but this is how you can do it in PS:
say you want a 3 depths picture
eg.
layer 1 - an actor
layer 2 - a house
layer 3 - mountains

now, you need to split these into 3 different images so you can shift the channels.
eg.
image 1 - an actor
untouched

image 2 - a house
a. shift red channel 1 big nudge (shift+arrow) left
b. shift green + blue channels 1 big nudge (shift+arrow) right

layer 3 - mountains
same as for image 2 but shift 2 times left and 2 right

now compose images back into layers. done

i’ve never done it before. this is the only technique i’ve come up with so far but it works quite well
and of course, it’s good to have a pair of 3D glasses when you do this

hmm This is interesting - Might give it a try, sometime.

#7

Creeto - geez man, when you said you’re trying new stuff I thought you were talking about some new brushes or something… but this is good, gotta try sometime.

here’s mine… traditional way  and finally I’ve managed to fit TL
PS 45mn

painter, maybe 20-30 min into it. i kinda lost the momentum i started with to finish it tho. but wanted to share the idea that was in my head with you guys, cause i still think its cool :stuck_out_tongue:

#9

Sandsekh - I really found it funny that you drew Sachin Tandulka - but I don’t know why I feel that way - I would have giggled if someone had drawn Ricky Ponting or Richard Hadley too… Maybe it’s because I have never met a cricket fan that sketches before so the idea seems foreign to me!

Creeto - now I really want some glasses to try that out! - how bout you wear your glasses Nd then take a photo of the screen and post it for us to see!? ^___^

finally dug out some 3d glasses to take a look at your painting. That’s gonna be something fun to play with. might even make for a cool sketch of the day challenge.
