“The Comic Book Guy”

You have 45 mn for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.

Don’t know if “ComicBook Man” has a specific meaning but here is my first thought. 45min in Corel Photopaint.

Okay… I just did a search on “Comic Book Guy” and it looks like I did the opposite of Comic book guy. Oh well … I dont watch the Simpsons so I missed the meaning . :shrug:

Here’s mine for today - 45 mins spent - 20 mins pencil + ink, 25 mins PS CS + wacom for colour.

Okay , here is another image more in line with the Comic Book Guy theme. Different style than my first image . Great images PencilAddict and Overchord.

Another test with zbrush plugin PaintStop
Time was a bit here and there through out the day. I am guessing about an hour. Sorry to not keep track on this one. Background was cropped and comped in from an image on superman returns. Forground drawn in paintstop.

I don’t remember having a time limit years ago when this all started. We just posted our time. This allowed for some very nice work. But then I am sure there must be some reason.

very cool sketches meta_ned. i just tried painstop after seeing your drawings and it has a good feel. several tools didn’t load for me tho, i kept getting error :frowning:

45 minutes, Photoshop.
Wanted to represent my friend, almost 30, business man, and buys more comics then a middle school combined. Heres to you Justin! =P

Forgive the size of my images, still trying to get the hang of this =D)

I went for my own comic book guy - roosterboy! which by the way I totally forgotten about hehe…

guess I need some more time on this project before I post it in comic creators club :slight_smile:

Daw and Paulreiss my favorites. Daw great comic look and strokes sence.
And Paulreiss love your rendering method colors and light use.
