no inspiration here either… knocking head against a wall :frowning:

CP + PS, ~35mn?

#3

couldn’t sleep so here’s one more…

PS, hmm…~45-50mn, not sure really

#4

Photoshop 1 hour 15 min. That took longer than I expected. Good thing there was no time limit for this one.

#5

Photoshop, 1 hour

#6

Corel Painter 11, ~2hrs? Something like that, got a little carried away (heh, still to slow). Had to much fun working on the figure I guess, but the background bugs me. Might work this into a finished image if i can produce a fitting environment…any suggestions? =P

I could not think of anything interesting for this topic and only worked on it for 35 mins. =/

#14

wow, so many nice sketches!

dapride, very nice work. i had same thoughts for a while but not inspiration enough to execute it…and it wouldn’t look that good anyway

#15

Great sketches guys!!

PS, 20 mins.

#16

everyone’s wearing the same thing. how embarrassing

sketchbook pro 50 mins

#17

I wish I had been able to execute this as well as I wanted to.
I’ll probably revisit it later.

Photoshop, 2 hours. (Mostly because I kept painting over large pieces :P)
I thought it would be funny to depict an elderly lady in a “Little black dress.” Someone who can’t let go of their more youthful days, and still wants to get in on all the action.

A lot of great sketches here guys, really great:thumbsup:

Here's mine. It is based on a real story. Recently we visited relatives who have a baby about 1.5 years old. We gave her a doll and she spend the evening taking the doll's dress off and trying to put it on herself many times. For the sketch I chose the moment when she realizes that this is the best she could do and looks at the adults waiting for them to say if she had succeeded:).

The sketch was difficult for me because, although I have some pictures of her, none of them matched even remotely the pose and expression I wanted. So basically the sketch was done without any direct reference and no reference at all for the body and the underwear. I spent about 3.5 hours using PS and I kind of lost sense if the proportions are OK - I'm not sure if the head is too big. I tried slightly different sizes and couldn't decide. The doll however was pretty easy to make because I found [this photo](http://community.webshots.com/photo/fullsize/1379869269071859315isZxNT) with a pose that I needed and changed only the lighting making it a bit nicer like the doll we gave her. I painted in very high resolution because I intend to print this sketch and give it as a surprise present to my relatives, though I'll change the color of the dress. Since my relatives are not too much into the arts I made it in a style that doesn't require art education to be enjoyed. If you know what I mean;)
