“The Vacation”

You have 45 mn for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.

About 50 mins during work. This is Old San Juan Puerto Rico, in which I will be going to in a month. My culture is truely a vacation!

i had a ref image but i can’t find it again. soooo tired right now
was just trying to throw up colors as quickly as possible

This evening I felt like painting something relaxing and picked as a reference a photo I have taken during a family vacation.
I spent a little bit more than 2 hours on this but I’m happy with the speed given the amount of chairs and umbrellas that I have to put.
I decided to use only the default hard brush in Photoshop. I started with marking silhouettes of the objects with flat colors using the brush or selections and tried to use as less colors as possible.
At about an hour the floating figure and the waves in the pool were not in the picture and the tree and the bridge were marked with only one flat color

Creeto, it is a real pleasure to watch your image. Lovely colors and a very nice mood.
