You know what would be cool? If we each did a picture like the other one!

Didja see my ‘marlon’ car?

#1924

How’d you know my car looks like that?
Yeah it’s a cool ride baby!

This one’s cool too

That’s a cool driver all right :applause:

Here’s another DSF driver sketch :shrug:Not as adorable or funny as the one above…

35 min Artrage2

That’s enough doodling from me this month otherwise it looks like I’m hijacking this thread… or it may even loose it’s 5 star rating :argh:

We need more WIPs people :wip:

Yeah, Becca that’s a great thread, excellent work by everyone. Zhu Haibo’s painting is excellent.

I loved that ‘driver’ one you have there…colors! colors!

As for wips…here’s the latest ‘journey’ update! I’m TRYING to figure out a shape for the building…

p.s- please ignore the man’s face, he looks like a burns victim!

Wow, it’s awesome to see the progress all you guys made in the last few months. I hope I can join in a bit again next week, have a 10 day break starting next week Tuesday.

#1927

Come watch the fun!

#1928

Damn Tess, you’re really improving in leaps and bounds.

#1929

Haha, awesome deer caught in the headlights look Martin

Therry, great progress! It needs a bit of colour and contrast though, it feels a bit flat. I think it might be because the humans and the hill have similar colour… Love the ship and the clouds! Can’t wait for more updates

I’m practising making pictures look like they’re plastic models:

Does it look effective? It’s a simple technique, but fun. Called the scheinflug effect. (great name, eh? )

(here’s the original:)

Hey Clip, that’s an awesome last update! I love it!

there’s something about the crowd that bothers me a bit, the people on the front seem to be pasted on, perhaps they need more shadow like the other folks, not sure though. Still great work!

Edit for the castle, what you have so far is going in the right direction, perhaps you can pull it further, like hundreds sharp rocks drilled in the ground, leaving like a corkish formation of sharp rocks… I dunno if that makes sence, I know I know, my medicine… I’m on it… ugh

And to cover some things I missed,

Art, very nice cyclops! Brilliant coloring! And the little kid on the bike is grand as well!

Ines, congratulations on the job!

Solo, cool bunny! Or better yet, bun! I once had a dream I was being carried along a (I kid you not) yellow brick road on the back of a huge bunny, or I might have been very little… Anyway, the ride was cut off by me dreaming someone telling me huge bunnies didnt exist, well, now I know they do! Hah

valentina, great work, girl! Keep it coming, I love the eyes, very sparky!

#1933

Wheyhey, thanks Derby!
That cyclops dude is not the finished item though, look for it in mah galleria

Oh and that cute funny little kid on the bike is Theresa’s  :applause:.

#1934

Cool miniature clippy  It works really well, it does feel like a miniature. How did you do it? (btw, it also shows why oh so many renders look like miniatures… Excessive DOF :banghead: )

#1935

I think your cyclops needs a pet kitten

#1936

Haha, is that real?!

#1937

Yup, It died shortly after birth, like all cases of cyclopadia. The human cases often look rather nasty so I won’t recomend googling it.

Theresa- You are really improving :), The hair of the 2 ladies in the challege entry looks too pasted on though, try darken it a little bit maybe.

Interesting tutorial: http://www.lunacore.com/photoshop/tutorials/tut018.htm

I know what I’ll be doing before I post pics of myself from now on.

#1939

cyclopadia (couldn’t find it) = holoprosencephaly = not for the squeamish…

www.artnatomia.net , go to ‘APPLICATIONS’ and to ‘LEVEL 2’. You can modify faces any way you like to get expressions!

It’s useful!

Even worse than these babies is ‘ichthyosis harlequin’. Having 2 med students in the family meant that there were always a few med books around. I read about this one day and had nightmares. Poor babies. Their skin forms as hard plates, so wherever folds appear in normal babies, these babies have deep cracks. (i.e- no skin forms there) The ichthyosis refers to the fact that the plates are fish like and the harlequin to the fact that their faces end up deformed, looking like a harlequin clown. It’s creepy…I didn’t want to google it, so the above facts are from memory and probably inaccurate somewhere. The creepiness is further compounded by the fact that the newly born harlequin babies don’t cry- they emit a low droning sound. Mothers of harlequin babies have a high rate of being traumatised. I did hear about one harlequin who lived to be a teenager though.
