Love that foam texture Agamemnwn! How did you get that working?
Rebecca: Stunning. I crave more of your work!
Incidently, can you film yourself doing one of your 15min charcoals?
I snapped this one purely for that ākodak momentā:

Martin,
Your pictures just keep getting cooler! I think this thread is actually turning out to be really nicely revealingā¦I never would have seen these photos otherwise!
Thanks for the compliments Martinā¦youāre always so nice to me.
Here is another drawing done as practice for demoāingā¦Iād like to figure out how to do videos of the process somedayā¦donāt know how to do that myself though.
I was zooming past this on the back of an old motorcycle in central Vietnam outside Dalat. Couldnāt resist the imagery. Iād love to know what happened to it:

Martin,
That picture is breathtaking! I love these old nostalgic looking photosā¦I read a really good book about Burma called āThe Piano Tunerā ~ itās kind of stylized / romanticized, but beautifully written nonetheless.
Here is a really old crow quill pen and ink drawing done in my undergraduate days:

Wow, you have a great eye for capturing moments. This is lovely
Rebeccak Oh my goodness girl, your drawing skills are amazing!
Great pics Martin!
Aggie, maybe some outlines for the Martian? Love that character.
And this contraption should be banned

Damn, nice stuff Rebecca! I love seeing your older work. Youāll have to point me in the right direction to get a look at that book! Iām intrigued.
Thanks Ines! I was very happy with that one!
If you havenāt been to Cambodia yet, look no further for amazing inspiration:

I donāt know if itās not spamming⦠but in any case⦠that will be very pleasant for our eyesā¦
That will permit us to show some pictures we canāt post alsewhere ![]()
Well⦠Iāve just find these picture⦠based on a 3d real time project⦠about a 3 reconstruction of a destructed dungeon in france (Coucy-le-ChĆ¢teau)ā¦

Cool, Lolo! This will be an awesome opportunity for us to get to see more of your work!
Martin,
Thanks!
Hehe, I have tons of old work if youāre interested in seeing itā¦the Beckie archives stretch far back!
Beautiful pictureā¦it reminds me a bit of TombRaider, and LaraCroft!
Cheers,

Lemog, great realtime study there! I love that kinda thing.
Sweet camera too Art2.

Yes, itās a giant stone chicken.
However, there is quite a touching tale about it. A few hundred years ago a girl was arranged to be married to a young lad in the village, but the boyās family were angered they had to settle for such a poor girl. So they arranged that a condition for marriage was the girl go into the mountains and find a chicken with an extra toe. She searched for weeks and ended up dying amongst the rocks. The families were so ashamed and agrieved that they errected a huge monument in her memory.
Martin,
I LOVE beautiful stories such as that! Thatās a great one.
And you are a really good photographer! I really suck at itā¦itās a skill I wish I had, for sure.
Here is an older drawing (about 5 years old maybe?) of me trying to break down a leg. (Not as painful as it sounds!)
Wow, VERY Da Vinci Rebecca! I like a lot! I love seeing works that show the progress lines all over, and the structure still penciled in.
This was just pretty, if not a little postcardy:

OMG, Martin, those pics are awesome!
I love the picture of the performerā¦for lack of a better word, itās very picturesque.
Here is another drawingā¦tell me when you get bored.
Work in progress for an online visual dictionary

it will read : dictionary in an Eisner-esque way
google keyword: Will Eisner
Very cool SergioK!
Is this something youāre working on with Dimi also? Itāll be cool to see the result! Is this the mockup for an interface?
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
I donāt know if any of you guys have seen this, it was posted on the Anat Forum way backā¦:Dā¦itās entertaining because it shows you how to take a craptastic oil painting and turn it into a semi~decent digital paintingā¦Iām so embarrassedā¦
Step 1: paint really sh**%# oil painting copy of your favorite painter (in this case, Odd Nerdrum) (circa 199*)
