We finished updating our website last night, it has some of our recent work there. Let me know what you think.

Thanks, Marlon. I really love this new piece of yours. But then, again, I really love just about all of your pieces I’ve seen so far. There is such a 40s feel to them, somehow, in terms of illustration style.
Jason, love the photos. I first saw Crazy Frog in an animation short at Siggraph in Los Angeles last year…very funny. I like your take on the sunrise on Mt. Fuji. I especially like the mummy drawing, btw.
Tobias, I like clean, clear sites. Very pro looking. Nice product.
These are my latest entries into the DS forum.

Great Cris… all these entries are very sympathetic… you’re very productive
(my best one is HellBoy)
wow, thank you Cris!
Great DSF sketches you got there. Love the girl with cat piece.
Velk, clean site and to the point.
And the French nut has a new avatar…
Here’s some early sketch I was doing today:

Woa, great pics kirigoi and urgaffel.
Cris, i really liked your modern day vampire; its very unique and stylish.
Art2, love the colors in your image… although im kinda biased, i love purple :). It reminded me a little of the upcoming movie “300”.
good luck.
was to a Halloween party yesterday, with lotsa bands playin n stuff
(Lordi for one , u might know, very fitting for the occasion
)
they had a makeup stand there, to give peoples their halloween faces,
so i of course had to get mine too
(this is much my own design, i smudges the paint with my finger after
the lady painted it there, to make it look how i wanted
)

mmmh… make up ? are you sure
hahahaha
nice to see you take good time ![]()
Nesnora -> very nice and interesting… the photos are certainly not so good to watch the quality of this creation… but that seem more of well started… good continuation in this animation project…
Haha…Squibbit, Lolo said it before I did…looks great.
I like the project character, Nesnora. Love all the bulk and then these spindly little legs. Look like an interesting project and hope we get to see more of it.
This is a part of a piece I am trying to finish for an upcoming project I can’t really talk about too much yet. It started as a sketch in the Daily Sketch forum and now trying to get it done in color…progress can be seen in my Sketchbook thread.
Looking at all the wonderful illustrations I’ve been able to get for my Golden Age thread really is influencing this piece. I’ve been reading about Violet Oakley, Elizabeth Shippen Green and Jessie Wilcox and their work while they were at the Red Rose Inn.
BTW, Lolo, thanks for the Mucha pieces…I am now doing some research on them…they’re really beautiful.
Cris
Wow, I really like your style. Looking forward to see a 3D version.
Can you give some more info about your project?
Russel
The animation is about the birth of a wizard. The old man walks into a quiet forest scene with old ruins. He carries that gigantic egg. Butterflies scatter when he sits down- one lands on the egg and it starts to rain (think zen). He busies himself with mumbling and tracing shapes into the dirt. The egg cracks open and a naked baby wizard is inside. But the baby has a full-grown wizard beard which covers his niblets.
I have to model the baby yet in sculpey. For the animation style, I’m thinking about adding 2D animation as well for certain flora elements in the scene.
It’s all done in Maya right now. I’ve started some modeling, but most of my focus is on textures. I’m struggling to get the skin actually looking like sculpey. For some reason I just love its luminosity and transparency after it’s baked.
One of my friends provides full soundtracks for gaming companies, and he “owes me one”. I think I’m going to cash in on this project and ask him to give me a killer soundtrack.
This is a (very) rough modeled figure I used to test textures:

and this is 2D concept art for the animation:

what , where is your LORDI t-shirt, ramones? cmon hey ho is outdated
HARD ROCK HALLELUJAH!!
pffffff hahahahahaha
(I love the ramones)
