Yeah I see what you mean, a friend of mine pointed out exact the same thing.
Pretty funny actually because he normally just says “hey that’s cool”, looks at it for two seconds then takes a sip of his beer and turns his head towards the TV
But yeah I get it, I just don’t know how I can change it without some drastic changes in that area.
Maybe if I show more of her upper arm, make her arm more straight instead of bend (does that makes sence?) it’s now almost completely hidden by her jacket.
I also made her arms a little shorter, looks better now.

Thanks everybody!

Yeah what happened to the treehouse Martin? you’re not ditching it are you?

Great colorscheme on the dino Marlon, looks awesome!

#2022

Wow, Marlon, really, really good! I think it needs a bit more contrast and the colours seem too saturated around the head, but that is turning out to be fantastic! Keep going!:arteest:

#2023

Rudy, would you mind if I did a bit of a paintover? I’m really a ‘newbie’ compared to you so it’d probably look far worse than if you did it yourself though.

#2024

In fact there was a discovery in China that strongly indicates that all dinos were actually covered in feathers… the Jurrasic Park guy might have been right :stuck_out_tongue:

#2025

Thanks Theresa, you are right. I checked on my laptop and it was a bit too saturated and needed more contrast.
Updated the pic above. I think I leave it at that.

Haha, yeah Wim… that was the inspiration behind the raptor.
But I had this image of old school dino’s making fun of the new kid

#2026

Somehow it reminds me of walrus’s ‘choconobo’:

#2027

Yup, they’re related

#2028

not at all, please do, any help is greatly appreciated

#2029

Sorry for the butchery:

Rudy, you have a fantastic color scheme going there. I think I figured out what was strange- the hood stuck over the shoulder, even though there wasn’t really anything holding it up. I changed that above…and added a bit more arm…

I know what it’s like working on something for ages, you just can’t see the forest for the trees after a while…

#2030

Rudy, bloody nice work there, I agree there’s something a bit iffy about the shoulder, but I think it’s rather the jacket then the shoulder. The shape of the jacket is a bit off I think. Still smashing work!

#2031

Theresa, wow I think you pretty much nailed it, I can see it now, thank you very much! :bounce:

Hey thanks a lot Wim

I’ll try to finish it after the weekend, then I really need to get some work done for the challenge haha, oh boy so much to do…but I love it!

#2032

Me tooooo! :buttrock:

The Wyeth retrospective was great, as was Body Worlds (at the Franklin Institute)

Also pics from the Eastern State Penitentiary, the oldest prison in the US I think, which is now a museum and super cool, will be posted soon ~ w00t!

Beautifull pictures Rebecca! I really like that last one of the Eastern State Penitentiary, great refernence material, I love eerie places like that.
Come to think of it, there used to be a topic somewhere with awesome sites about all sorts of abandoned places.
I bookmarked all of them, but I’m not near my homecomputer right now.

edit: here you go :): http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=311451&highlight=abandoned+places

Ooh, awesome, thanks for that link Rudeone! I’ve just pillaged the thread for links, those are great!

#2036

A little composite of what i’m trying for… still early days. Excuse the bad DOF, I was playing around.

#2037

Awesome photos Rebecca!

#2038

I don’t know Martin… lots of trees pull away the focus on the treehouse…
Hey, how bout a treehouse built on a beanstalk above the clouds
Heh, just some idea that pops up…

#2039

Maybe just a tree in a field would be better. Thanks for critique!

#2040

Does it have to be a tree? A house built on the leg of an unsuspecting giant would be funny.
