Nice one Creeto! I had some sort of storm as first idea… then I dedicated to make something more peacuful.

Both of those are really good! Interesting perspectives and a feeling of being “embraced” by the environments. I like the texture work on yours, Sazem, and Creeto’s almost looks like a hot volcanic storm.

I was going to make a rainy thing, but remembered that I’ve wanted to paint a big summery cloud, so I did that instead. They are also nice.

Here’s my attempt. 40mins, I’m a bit color blind and the free version of Artrage doesn’t let you select colors by punching RGB numbers like in photoshop. May start just painting gray scale then colorizing in photoshop but that adds time. Anyway tried to capture the Whistler Village in springtime vibe with skiing up top and sunny warmth on bottom.

Sazem: Just wanted you to know I’ve spectated this forum for a long while and you’ve improved greatly. Keep up the good work.

DrPetter: Those clouds are awesome…painting clouds is always a challenge to me.

Creeto: Always impressive work.

CarlS: Thanks! I don’t think you should worry about color “accuracy” beyond what you can see on your own. Just pick expressive colors that you feel would make sense, and build a coherent painting. It’ll be much more interesting that way than if you just used a limited palette of schematic named colors. Nice idea with the two-in-one weather situation.
