60 min. Very rough sketch, I hope to have time to refine a bit more.

Hey Ferx, this is really nice! I like especially the “evil look” of the blue(ish) cat.

Here is mine, finished on time:

Ah, good sketches, both of these! Ferx - Very solid cartoony style, looks like the characters were designed rather than scribbled.

Myridiphis - You almost picked the same idea I had for this! I noted down some ideas for three of the recent themes and will try to get them drawn tomorrow. Too tired now.

I wonder if a few choice highlights with really crisp edges might help better sell the look of a metal firearm like that, even if most of it is rough? I should be able to try it with my own image, although I suspect I will just use reference for that part.

Myridiphis - Cool work. I agree with DrPetter and perhaps a bit more contrast in the kittens, but is a really nice idea.

DrPetter - thanks for your words. Cheers!

I work an hour more in the image …

After a 1 hour more of work:

Nice refinement, Ferx. I especially like the subtle coat fabric where the light hits there in the front.

Mine ended up a bit sloppy in places. I wish I could have made some of the lines more mechanically strict. Also couldn’t really decide on colors so I mushed around with a lot of variations after the initial greyscale sketch. Didn’t end up using any particular reference although I googled some guns before starting out, to get a few more ideas for details.

Myridiphis: I realize it’s quite common to see matte painted metal or plastic exteriors for guns, so I guess it’s plausible not to have so many harsh highlights if it’s not a “bling” piece.
