Well, you asked for it… “Afterimage of a loved one”

Was actually tricker than I had thought sticking with all large blurry brushes. So tempting to scale it down when I wanted to adjust facial features.

reminded me about cyperpunk somehow… but I couldnt get the idea into canvas!

drpetter, wow, that’s intense somehow…spooky and elegant.
Sazen, cyberpunk it is! Neat! I really like the color choices, too!

This song had been disgusting to me the first time I heard it. I felt like a whole audience is mislead into cheering on a villain. Felt to me there was something deeply wrong with it. After having to hear it 1000 times, my tolerance levels had to lower dramatically and I just accepted the innocent fun people appear to get from this, which I find all the more concerning, but … here’s my take on what I heard:

I really didnt know that this was a song. Looked at your work and then went to find the song from youtube… Didnt like too much so I had to quit at 30seconds of the song. Also started to think all those mainstream music with no (real) messages in them and they are super popular… I could actually felt the disgus too!

I kinda felt “brainwashing” stuff in them… that its all about “sex sex sex” and “be beatiful / hansom”… how much money equals how good you are… etc…

So I could say your work inspired a feeling & an a thought today! Gj

Nice entries, everyone!
Taron - took me a while to recognize the characters

Mine ended like complete mess. I strugled with anatomy a lot and no time left for lighting. I like his hair though.

DrPetter - Nice Work, the face is well blur rendered :). The problem is that all in the image are blured, and that is annoying for the eye, like a photo out of focus. If you put a focused object in a blurred background, you catch immediately the attention of the viewer.

Sazem - Cool perspective in your image. Maybe a nice reference for your idea can be pictures of the flow of car´s lights in the night.

Taron - … Your image reflects that you feel uncomfortable with that subject. Perhaps a more ironic, satiric, sarcastic, acid, etc. approach

Myridiphis - Good work. Like the color for the Background. Try first to put more dynamic gesture for your character before the anatomy issues. Only a comment
