“The Green Dot”

You have 50mn for your your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post

  • WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
  • You may post a drawing at ANY TIME, but if you wish to be eligible for the Sketch of the Week,
    it must be finished at least a week after the topic has been posted.
  • You may also re-post a copy of your finished drawing a this forum:

  • Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
  • Only final pieces can be posted on the thread.
  • They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
  • RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 1024 x 1024.
    NOTE: The forum WILL RESIZE your image. but you may post a direct link to a high resolution version of your image.
  • All Drawings can be done on any medium.

Decided to do three painting ‘at once’ - therefore 2.25 hrs for all three or about 40 minutes per painting.

Nucron: that was one of my initial ideas actually, nice job!

hey, thanks, Mike! nice work with your paintings, as well–three interesting takes on the subject but all share an ethereal/mystical kind of tone. I could imagine these as waypoints on a fantasy journey featuring a band of travellers that decided to join together on a quest after finding a mysterious riddle with instructions to follow the “green dots” to a magical place told of only in legend. but now I’m just rambling.

heh, and yeah, there is something about those tiny coral islands out in the middle of the ocean that makes you wonder what it would be like to see one in person. anyway, cheers.
