CGS chat

#1

well apparently the CGS forums aren’t as active as the free forums… so how about having a CGS chat portal or something of the sort. Where CGS members could interact with each other live! share ideas and get to know each other better. Real time interaction always seems so much more productive.

anywho! just a suggestion

Erm, yes… Apart from you spend hours on end chatting and none working;)

#3

There was one of those, #cgsociety I believe it was. Don’t know if it still exists or not.

#4

We all got busy. Sadly, we’re all far more productive now…

Well, it has been brought up is the new-but-allready-dead-bonanza-thread a couple weeks ago, and I do see something in it. I think it would be a lot of fun actually chatting with some of the CGS members.

Though I like it to be web-based. Not something like mIRC or ‘crap’ like that.

Overall I would like to see CGSociety staff do more innovating things with this site. Its more ore less stuck for some time now. But hey… who am I to demand things like that

Rickmeister: yup! thats what i meant too… a web-based chat. I’ve seen it done on some forums. And its fun.

#7

heheee well not all of us

well thats the general idea :stuck_out_tongue:

#8

i think the best thing would be a web based chat like the one on facebook where u can see which of your friends is online and chat with them if u like . so if the guys here can adapt the concept by integrating it on the portfolio with the people u have in theportfolio network or with the friends u have checked in the UserCP.

anyway justan idea.

I say bring back #cgsociety :bounce:

#10

yeah i agree! that would be brilliant!

I’m not too sure about the mirc channel though! cuz I’m the most active on cgsociety when i’m at work. And i doubt they would allow me to use mirc at work :stuck_out_tongue: they dont mind us chatting but mirc LOL :stuck_out_tongue: and i’ve noticed its kinda the same with the rest of my office mates.

Given the developers here you’re not likely to see something that is not based on open, or at least public standards.

This means essentially for group-chat, IRC, or 1 to 1 chat, probably Jabber - there are far more pressing issues, and in the meantime I’d suggest #cgtalk on irc.freenode.net
