CGChallenge XXVI - Dreamscape

#21

Erp  Looks like a bug - hold off submitting your final image until I sort out what’s gone wrong.

#22

It’s not immediately obvious until you start posting some work, but you’ll get a personal listing of all the artwork you submit here:

http://challenge.cgsociety.org/dreamscape/entry/ivanisavich

It’s broken out into your various milestones and ordered chronologically so people can a quick overview of the progress of your work, and if they delve into the threads to see what feedback you’ve been given.

#23

Yes! Upload right from the browser…You can count me in!!

I hope the feedback part is the same…so that I can learn from other artists and recieve critiques. Gonna test it out soon!

#24

If we wanted, could we create a separate thread in the WIP section and update that thread as well with work?

#25

Is it me… or can I not find a finish date?

#26

Cool Topic! But god damn bad timing (atleast for me:D)

And by the way why are Autodesk not sponsoring this?

#27

“22 November 2010 - 23 February 2011”
It sais so on the challenge homepage, right under the title of the challenge

#28

On the other hand it might help to focus on overall challenge rather than individual challengers IMHO. People tend to group around certain threads so to spread and focus them on milestones and uploads can work out some new experience. Let’s see.

@salmonmoose - Anton, I am trying to upload a videofile. Did it with MOV and FLV but nothing happend. What are the specs for the video?

#29

Ah thanks LadyMedusa, the challenge page artwork / text didnt seem to be all in the correct place when I last looked in IE. Maybe thats why I couldnt see it.

Cheers!

#30

I digg it - we could make use of threads to discuss story ideas etc

#31

erm was trying to test the system and i got this

“An Error Was Encountered
The URI you submitted has disallowed characters.” but the thumb stills show up in the entries, but again…when I click on the thumb i get the same message.

#32

wow this looks awesome, the challenge is something new  i like the idea.

having a doubt on how to create my forum page in the sense before challenges we had to create a thread. How to do that in the new engine  ???

really excited about this one.

#33

Cool! I’m in.

#34

yes, yes … YES

I was waiting for that challenge, and yet the theme fits to me a lot

thanks CGS stuff ^^

#35

And by the way why are Autodesk not sponsoring this?

I was wondering too !!

#36

edit - never mind, not worth asking

#37

Yeah i have this same issue, im entered in the image but my page says video.
Should i still submit entries under this heading anyway?

#38

Hi Everybody,

I am back and in. This is a challenge I have to take!
After years of building my career in the tattooing industry, I’ve finally the freedom to take time off for things like that! This will be a great, inspirational challenge for me personally as to get back into digital painting!

So with that, I wish everyone entering lots of fun with their project and I’ll get started as soon as possible!

Greetings from the dark realms,

Tommy Lee Wendtner

ehem people speak of threads - call me thick but where are they? To me the biggest part of the challenge is the ability to talk about the process - are the comment spaces under the uploaded milestones to be used in place of the dedicated threads now? I’m not quite sure what I’m looking at here

I love word better, it doesn’t limit people creativity :)!
