The CG Supervisor, in Collaboration with the Director & Producer determines the technical approach in creating all Computer Animated Imagery for the production.
Responsibilities:

Identifies, defines, prioritizes, and implements specific creative and production workflow process steps which will enhance the movie’s creative tools and eliminate, wherever possible, productions tasks that have little if anything to do with creative judgment.

Responsible for the leadership of the SEQUENCE SUPERVISORS and TECHNICAL DIRECTORS working directly on the movie or in the production departments of the movie.

Create, develop, and build consensus between TECHNOLOGY, ARTISTS, and PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT to address issues abling the Director to realize their vision vision.

Develop a strategy for the successful integration of the studio’s art and design skills/resources by implementing hardware and software and workflow solutions that best suit the needs of the movie.

Work with the Producers and Director to formulate costs and time lines.

Help to develop and implement training programs to enhance skill sets within the departments on the movie

The CG Supervisor also works with the Producer to estimate project schedules, monitors project progress, while ensuring that the assets of the movie are created, constructed, and structured to LOOK the way the Director wants, but to also function efficiently shot-by-shot throughout all the departments across the entire pipeline.

Minimum Qualifications:

Has supervised at least one full length feature animated film using 2d and 3d digital images.

Has a passion for feature animated stories and characters
-
Comes from a combined technical and creative background

Communicates well to those that might not yet understand the technology

Completion of degree program or working equivalent

Knowledge of the successful combination of 2d design and 3d execution
