The first 3-D short (Warner has approved three, with three more in development) will feature Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner and will play before Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore when that movie hits theaters on July 30th.

Very cool! Lovely animation… who’s responsible for this then?

#6

I believe they were done by ReelFX in Dallas, TX.

#7

Looking pretty Nice! They did a great job transitioning the characters into 3D and the animation was top notch too.

and i thought the series ended with this…
what happened when coyote finally got runner…click

ha ha too funny. I love that short second of anticipation right before the explosion. You know it’s coming, but it’s still so funny.

#12

I love it. I’m glad to see the shorts coming back to theaters, although I would be even more excited if they made these for Saturday morning cartoons. I would totally wake up early Saturday morning and watch these with a big bowl full of fruity pebbles!

#13

somehow I thought that the day this was done, it was going to suck. I was proved to be very very wrong.

Seems like the veyr same school

While it was definitely a satisfying moment for the Coyote, he was so poorly drawn in the later series that I couldn’t stand watching any of them. Was this particular episode directed by Jones or Freleng?

But, I really love the way the guys who worked on this latest CG short captured the classic RR and C cartoons, it’s obvious a lot of love went into this.

…that was the family guy take on looney tunes, not the real thing…
Still, its funny and the end is epic.:buttrock:
