CG and cats...

Theresa ,

Castlebar ? :hmm:
I thought it sounded familiar, so I checked. I was in the area last year. Travelled from Galway to BallyShanon. Beautiful area.

Looks familiar ? (not sure where this was taken, perhaps it’s miles away…).

BTW that’s some other idiot in the picture, not me.

Looks like it might be part of the lake near my house!! Hard to tell, the landscape varies wildly even within one area, but it definitely looks as if it could be lough lannagh. I’ll ask my brother (the fisherman) and tell you later!

Yes, the area around my home does look like that. Nice, eh?

By the way: hello everyone who said hello to me! Looks like I’m getting famous  :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi Theresa,

unfortunatley I have no digital foto of my cats > but I see what I can do.

BTW > all my best whishes with organising the first animation-film of the CGSociety.
The storyboards and the Lunatiques mood-images looking very promising.

Greetings
Fahrija

Thanks

I’m just organising it though. The quality of the work is up to the wonderful people here in CGTalk. My job is just to make sure we have it done in time!
Easier said than done, I’m sure… we’ll see, won’t we!

It’s odd but since a few months my family’s got a cat too… And when I was veryvery young and still living in spain we had lots of cats. I love em but I don’t think I’ll ever have one myself. I think they deserve something better than to be a pet…

#24

I don’t think they WANT anything better! I think they’re happiest being fed, able to lie in the sunshine:) and chase birds:sad:

If you think about it, they live a life of paradise!

Tex3d: Your cat is called Puff? You’re probably a 6’4" guy, aren’t you?

I can imagine that description fitting a lot of ‘people’ in here too

always had cats… love their presence and character… almost emphatic… I remember a time where our two females cat had… eight babies each at the same time… that was something!
one of the mum was young and used to play with all of them every time, the older mum was using all her time putting them back in their sleeping area… hilarious!
and when it was lunch time they used to feed the babies regardless of if their where theirs or the one from the other mum… amazing!

now i only have one, her name is Nessie, we named her after a ride around loch Ness area in Scotland nine years ago.
she love sleeping in plastic bags… dont ask me why…

 it was the same with the cats in spain. one got 5, and the other 6 babycats which they shared.

Ya know what’s funny?

I just joined CG Society over the last weekend, and the weekend before that we just got two cats! Hmmmmm…

One thing for certain with cats, I never had to figure out what hotkeys my dog was hitting while leaping past me to get at the cursor on the monitor! :surprised

Cat’s don’t want us spending time with CG. It’s in their nature to sleep on a Wacom

I don’t have full-time cats. Now and then, freinds/family ask me to take care of them when thay are away for a while. That’s nice. I’m away from home way to often to have cats of my own. Wouldn’t be nice for the little creeps.

Grew up in San Francisco, CA so I for most of my life have never had a pet until last year when my awesome Fuzz buddy Quincy came to live with me from a very nice breeder from Sacramento. these are some of quincys best pictures in his 1st year.

okay i’m sick but I made alittle website with some of his pics he is awesomely cute and very very Sweet.

I can only confirm that. Mine happens to be a whippet

And the funny thing is that if there’s any kind of dog that is quite similar to cats in some ways, in terms of certain behavioral quirks, it is whippets… things like sleeping in very odd places, and sleeping A LOT… Not to mention an annoying habit of finding the most impractical places to sit in order to make whatever I’m doing as uncomfortable as possible, as demonstrated below: (if I had a Wacom, I’m sure she would indeed be sitting on top of it)

OK the dog doing joke is getting a bit done, but hell when you post pictures like that I really do have to wonder

#33

 Sick, isn’t it?

A

I’m a dog person.

I like kittens too, but the problem with kittens is that they turn into cats…

I agree!

Although I have a bunch of cats, I have had and love dogs too. All this cat and dog talk reminds me of the old saying:

                                  Dogs have Masters,
                                  Cats have Staff ! :D
