Looking through the posts and pics and from memory-- it seems like everyone here has a cat! Odd… observations, please.
Before you ask, I do have a cat- her name is misty and she is cute :). We should have cat emoticons on this…hold on…

Hi Theresa,
What an interesting observation… I never realized. Hmmm… lets see… I think I’ve grown up with close to 10 cats over the years. Love all animals… but cats have a special place in my heart.
Cheers.
I think there are quite a few “dog people” around, based on the previous “show your pet” (no double entendre) threads. But cats do abound. Maybe could just consolidate it in the pics thread, or have everyone add it to their intro thread? You, your computer, your pet, your colonoscopy, etc.
hybercube,
This is getting creepy. Who the heck told you about my colonoscopy?? I’m not sure I’m confortable with posting that quite yet. Merging cats pics into the intro thread would be the way to go for now…
I had noticed the same thing. Makes you wonder what connection between cats and CG? Any shrinks in the group? I have a housefull and also feed a feral colony outside.
Remarked to someone a few weeks ago that I hadn’t seen a mouse in years. Two days later
a dead mouse was deposited on my door step.
Hi there.
I heard that if your right cerebral hemisphere is youre dominant one, you would most likly pick up a cat. They are less loyal and more messy in general, and you don’t have to walk them.
For those how don’t know the right cerebral hemisphere is the artistical hemisphere.
I’m more of a dog person personally.
Seeing HyperCubes colonoscopyt isnt creepy in and of itself…Its the fact that he named his colon and calls it a pet that’s creepy!!
I’ve shown pictures of my cat WAYY too many times on CGTalk already. Nothing contradicts a tough guy, hard drinking, bike riding image faster than a picture of a cat named Puff.
sigh

Dog person here (but I like cats too - the thing is just that if I didn’t have to get outside and walk the dog from time to time, I would have died several years ago… Those dog walks is about the only exercise I get, and I fear that without them all my veins would just clog up and kill me dead on the spot)… no pics of my colonoscopy available
Hmmm…
Silver-‘dog’ Likes cats
Tex3D has a cat (isn’t that a dog hiding under the hat in yur avatar (It might be my bad eyes ;))
JamesMk is a dog person with a bunny avatar (don’t dogs chase rabbits? - mine did - he was a whippet)
I think this is getting rather interesting…
And Oh yeah - hows it going Paperclip!!!
Gord
I’m a dog person.
I like kittens too, but the problem with kittens is that they turn into cats…
what I like about cats…they are clean and sweet when they want something from you. But I don’t trust them so I don’t like them
<---- Bertie.
I prefer dogs to cats. As you can see from my avatar Bertie has a special trick. He went out into our garden one afternoon and came back with an unopened can of beer which he very proudly gave to me. The strange thing is that it’s not a brand I or any of our neighbours drink. I live in a tiny village in the middle of the countryside so there aren’t that many places he could have got it from. I’m not complaining though - you wouldn’t get that sort of behaviour from a cat. All they seem to do is pounce on you and ask for food.
Oh and Hi there Paperclip !! Have seen you over at the DSG - am trying to take part more regularly myself at the moment.
I like cats because they are quiet and don’t try and hump your leg. The no drooling thing is cool too.
I dont have any beef with dogs and have owned several in my life, but for my money cats are cooler.
and classier as evidenced by this photo of Puff at his best:

I don’t have any cats, have about 40 budgies out the back tho, and its funny to see the cats trying to get at them.
Theresa ,
Castlebar ? :hmm:
I thought it sounded familiar, so I checked. I was in the area last year. Travelled from Galway to BallyShanon. Beautiful area.
Looks familiar ? (not sure where this was taken, perhaps it’s miles away…).
BTW that’s some other idiot in the picture, not me.
Looks like it might be part of the lake near my house!! Hard to tell, the landscape varies wildly even within one area, but it definitely looks as if it could be lough lannagh. I’ll ask my brother (the fisherman) and tell you later!
Yes, the area around my home does look like that. Nice, eh?
By the way: hello everyone who said hello to me! Looks like I’m getting famous

Hi Theresa,
unfortunatley I have no digital foto of my cats > but I see what I can do.
BTW > all my best whishes with organising the first animation-film of the CGSociety.
The storyboards and the Lunatiques mood-images looking very promising.
Greetings
Fahrija
