Hey everyone,
I’ve just recently started to use a tablet and practice my digital drawing skills, so I’m looking for honest feedback on my work. I’m trying to design some fantasy soccer players (cartoon style) and started off with a female gnome.
I’m quite alright with the expression and pose, but I’m still insecure about coloring and shadows. Do you have any suggestions for me what/how to improve?

looks nice but the color scheme not to good. Try eliminating the green background as it takes up the character. Becauase my eyes only focus on the green background. I hope this helps, take care for now.
Thank you! The background is just work in progress, I intend to draw a soccer field. You’re definitely right, I’ll try to get rid of that as soon as possible. Is the color choice of the character also faulty or only in comparison to the background?
