Done in 3d max 5 with default scan line renderer, HDRI plug-in, and E-light (thank you Sky Raider) composited in Photoshop 6.

Car Composite
looks nice frank, the only thing that bothers me is the way the car is sitting. it kinda looks like it may have a flat tire on the passenger side. it looks like its leaning a little too much. other than that it looks great. the lighting is really good
it looks like it could be a hair big for the scene, and parts of the car along the front and drivers fender look a little blurry.
You got the ground shadow right on, and the overall effect is very convincing despite the two things I mentioned.
Nice Image. Two things: Have a look at your “reference” car at the background and compare the shadows on the floor and the reflections/highlights in the window. you’ll see that the highlights are much too bright and too few reflections. the shadowedges are too hard.
but it looks good!
oh sorry … i just recognized that the one in the back is standing in the shadow of the house… my mistake
I know the glow an stuff is a little off (the best I could do with the default renderer and photoshop). if the car looks like its leaning its because it is. the original car is on a slight hill and makes it lean. Its also a chop top so the proportions of the car make it look wider and bigger than it really is.
i think the second car is more reallism than the first one…haha… bcuz the reflection of the first car is not compare with the eviroment…
but.
nice work!!
Yea i think the first is defenatly the best. The B&W one is a close second. I also did two lowpoly versions of the car for game models.
