sorry for the lack of clarity in the first post. I am still new to cgsociety and very noobish to animation. I am working on a capoeira fighter animation with the model ultimate bony. I have been working on cleaning up the jitteriness from the back and the arms. Any help as far as movement would be much appreciated. Like I said I’m still very new so feedback would be nice.

here is a better version of the animation https://vimeo.com/188703572

What are you using to capture the motion?

I was trying to base the motion of a capoeira duel video from referencereference.com, but when i was working on it i think i messed up a lot of the arm angles and positioning. Also I had some trouble with feet sliding.

Anyway here is a link to the video if you are interested

Hey, try doing it in stepped/clamped mode when you first set up keyframes. That’ll basically turn off the inbetweens so you can focus on setting keyframes and work out timing. Then once you’re happy with the keyframes, you can use the graph editor to spline the motion one control at a time. This way you can focus on how each individual part moves, and you have more control over the final outcome, and how it gets from one pose to the next. The animation will look a lot smoother, and it helps a lot with avoiding things like sliding and keeping down the number of keyframes.

There’s a lot of tutorials on youtube for working with the graph editor if you’re not familiar with it. I hope this helps!
