My modo doesn´t work so i´m loking for some software that is easy like modo.
Can you guys help me?
Cant use modo
Pinscher,
Can you elaborate a bit about the CANT USE MODO? Has it crashed? Whats wrong with it? Did you delete the CFG File in the luxology folder under your profile if you are on XP? Whats up?
Aidan
I already deleted the cnfg file, it worked better but then the error appeared again.
I will explain…
I´m working with modo normaly but when i do something like changing view it appears that thing saying send and don´t send, and modo closes.
yep, reading your error description it seems to crash…
it happens to me so many times, and i dont know why.
i ve reinstalled de XP, but hey! its seems to be the xp!
yah well… another brilliant os.
so, there’s someone who knows if it has bugs or something? im using 202 with xp sp2, 512ram and enough hard disk space.
it works for me to close all the app that im running when use modo…
try it too… modo its just so cool!
if you can re-create the error, that will help them bug test the problem. Try using the Trial of Camtasia and record yourself causing the crash, that’s what I do at work when am able to re-create a crash.
Pinscher,
What TwistedSheep is saying is IF the error is repeated and if you can SCREEN CAPTURE it as it occurs. Have an app like Camtasia OR Wink [ free from debugmode - google both these ] screen capture the error so Luxology can see what you are talking about.
BUT - have you gone to the luxology forums with this issue yet?
http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/
Try pop your query into the MODO DISCUSSION Thread [ not the General Discussion ]. The Luxology forums are far more active than here for this kind of thing.
Other thoughts - what is your machine spec? What Operating System? What version of Modo? Most important - whats your Video Card? Have you updated your video card drivers recently, worth a try? Is a similar type problem happening in any other 3D app on your PC?
Could be an OPENGL [ogl] issue, alot of people have this kind of problem in a lot of different apps. Have a look at System Menu, Preferences. Under the display section on the left click on OpenGL. On the right under performance set VBO Mode to off. Close Modo, start again, see if that helps.
I still would direct you to post at the Luxology Forums also,
Cheers
Aidan
The luxology orum is worst than tis one.
i like the forum very much. but i still need help.
Common guys, tell-m one thing modo 201 was the irst modo?
software crashes are often connected to certain “specific hardware” settings (like the videocard)… so if you were to contact someone from luxology to help you with this particular crash - don’t forget to mention what your system specifications are.
The general consensus amoung those familiar with the Luxology forums are that they are generally pretty friendly and usually pretty helpful. When you say they are “worse” do you mean that you have asked for help there and not receievd much? I have not seen your user name on those forums so I can not personally respond to any sort of response(s) (or lack of) that you’ve received. Perhaps you use another user name on those forums. If you post the nature of your problem under the “Product Support” category you will likely get some help. In that you seem to be on a PC I’m affraid I can’t help you much since it appears that your problem is OS related (I use Macs). There are a large number of PC users however on the Lux forums and likely some of them can identify your problem and hopefully help you get it sorted out.
modo is not the most exspensive program but it isn’t cheap either. I would not be so quick to abandon an investment of that degree so easily before at least making a few more inquiries. There are many others using it without issue. It seems unlikely that your problem would be very difficult to fix.
