Can't reply to certain threads

I am trying to reply to either of these two threads:

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=290&t=775596

But when I click reply, I get a message telling me I don’t have permission. I am a logged in, regular user and I have no problem replying to threads in the Cinema 4D forums. Do I need to change some setting, or is there a problem with these threads?

I believe the forum is closed (for replies) to regular members but open to CGS members.

These forums are restricted to members of the CGS Chicago Chapter usergroup. If you want to be added you will need to contact CGChicago or Taoizm to be added.
