Can't create new projects...

#1

Hi admin.

I can’t create new projects.

Also how do i remove images i no longer want. I’ve not logged in for a long while and want to scrub my portfolio to make way for new relevant work. Or would it be easier to remove my account and start a fresh one?

Cheers

Hi,

To create a new project, click the ‘new project’ button at the top right of every page.

There is a ‘delete project’ option the the right menu of the project page (under tags and software).

if your not seeing any of these options, try clearing your browser cookies and logging back in.

:keenly:

I get a the following error page…

‘This web page is not available’
The server at .cgsociety.org can’t be found because the DNS look-up failed.

Have you cleared your browser cookies and logged back in?

your portfolio exists http://realtidydesign.cgsociety.org/ it’s just the link that’s broken
(missing your username). the username in that link is set by a browser cookie.

I’m also having the same problem (returned to the site after a 2 yr hiatus) and clearing my cookies and logging back in did not fix the problem. Clicking “Add Project” just redirects me to “portfolio.cgsociety.org” and does not prompt me to create a project. Also, clicking “Update your Portfolio” on the left hand sidebar of my page (gendou.cgsociety.org) does not work. That button links to “http://.cgsociety.org”.

So should I just throw away my old account and create a new one? I’d rather not do that, but I would like a different username, soo. I have not added any portfolio projects at all, and apparently can’t add them, something is clearly broken.
Advice?

@Gendou I have activated your portfolio. because your account is older than the portfolio system, i needed to activate some missing features.

please try again now.

you can change your username from the ‘about’ page:

Hello 86er,

Please try again now. I needed to activate the portfolio for you.
You’re going to be an experiment as we normally require that your username doesn’t begin with a number, this used to be a technical requirement but shouldn’t be an issue any more.
