Can anyone recommend a good Max project manager?

Hi all,

My Max projects and maps are a total mess! I take projects home and share them with other freelancers, always creating a zipped archive, therefore the maps are always referenced in that unzipped folder and when i bring it back to workā€¦its a total mess.

Im thinking of trying a project manager script/plugin but i was wondering if anyone can recommend a good one they used. Ideally, i would like to be able to relink all maps when i bring home work back to the office to the office one in the main ā€œmapsā€ folder for that project. Anything else would be a welcome extra.

if your familiar with how to maxscript you can write an easy path swap function.

I recommed doing it in mxs to customize your needs. max has a host of mxs tools for this to make it easy. They are under pathconfig struct.

SOunds like you dont have an asset publishing system.

have you tried relink bitmap?

i donā€™t consider that as a solution but it can defiantly make life easier

relink bitmap should be in everyone toolsetā€¦indispensable tool!
