Can adjusted verts be mirrored?

#1

I tend to be terrible at explanations, so instead: a visual aid…

So the question is pretty simple. Is there a way to mirror adjusted vertex positions on a polygon mesh?

It’s been a good long time since I’ve delved into the computer animation scene - almost a half decade in fact - and it stands to reason there may have been some changes to maya I aint aware of and I’m hoping a shortcut around this issue is one of 'em.

there’s plenty of tools that do that, can’t recommend a particular one as I’m using my own, which cannot be made public for various reasons. Just try browsing through those: http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downloads/search?search=blend+mirror&x=0&y=0

abSymMesh is my go to script.
Gotta have a symmetrical base mesh…once you have that you are good to go!
