Here’s a fix when you want to switch cameras using the spacebar but you get these erros: (this applies for any camera, front, top, side, persp, etc)
MTprocs.mel line 97: No object matches name:
More than one object matches name: top
Could not find an appropriate startup camera: top.
In my case, I had named a kitchen countertop “top” and maya did not want to load the camera when I switched the camera using the spacebar shortcut. Also showed a | symbol before the name “top” on the panels-orthographic-|top.
So the fix was to rename the countertop something else.
So don’t use the name of the cameras for anything else. Maya will get confused.
