F’n awesome, Outburner! I love 'em!
Would really love to see an UV ing video . Still UV’ing in Silo gives me weird behavior .
A little afternoon trip with my Hachiroku [Toyota Trueno Gt-Apex AE86].
Made with the one and only Silo!
And the Sketchfab scene…
PS: the driver is Base Man With Shoes.sib
Wow guys… completely out of the blue the model (the above scene) has been picked by the staff over at Sketchfab.
All thanks to Silo
I’ve been using silo for a long time, modeling verious props, characters and vehicles, maybe i’ll post some more soon…
Love them man! Will you be unwrapping them? Are they for a game?
Wicked work, Qareeb. Those are some sweet models.
Damn, Outburner, you are killin’ it. It would be cool to see wireframes. Maybe even a few progress images.
I really need to use Silo more…
Very cool stuff. I loved the Sketchfab files with the animated woman and the DOF on the large street scene.
Made with Silo, Tree It, Affinity Photo (the textures) and rendered in realtime in Unity. People and cars are stock from the web (i would love to model them as well, but budget and time do not allow)
a little clip https://youtu.be/bkaThVnqZAg
Got invited by Sketchfab to do a little writeup on the Mustard Machine for the Art Spotlight page. Check it out below.
model and uv with Silo
textures drawn in Affinity Designer
rigged and animated with aKEYtsu
I know I am years late, but I’m a huge fan of Silo and have used it professionally over the past 6 years or so.
Here’s a link to a diesel punk Fiat that I built last month using Silo solely (Maya was just used to pull everything together to export to Unity):
I use Silo to build the low and high poly version of my models and export right into Substance Painter to do the materials.
More work of mine, all modeled in silo (except when otherwise mentioned, like Zbrush) can be found on my artstation: https://www.artstation.com/jeffarth
Edit: if the sketchfab link doesn’t show up, it’s on my artstation, in the first link.
This is totally sweet–thanks for sharing it here! We just put up a tweet about it on the @silo3d twitter acct and linked to your artstation page. Let us know if you want different/other credit! (https://twitter.com/silo3d/status/1143924061938040832)
oh nice! That’s awesome, thanks!
Silo has been a joy to use. Since switching to Silo for my modeling and uvs, not only have I gotten a lot faster at building, it made modeling fun again for me.
I made another model based off another work by the same concept artist of the last piece. Completely modeled in Silo, materials made in Substance Painter.
I found these props on an old HD. Made about 10 years ago… nothing special, but the more interesting part is: Whats up with this forum? Nobody is posting anything, not even Nevercenter, Why the dead silence?
Old hard drives can be treasure troves! Thanks for posting.
We DO need to be more active on here–unfortunately, we don’t have any good story for our silence, except that we’ve been focusing on development and got distracted away from actual communicating. We’ll try to come on this forum more often again–thank you for the reminder! We definitely can and should do better with that.
As an aside for anyone seeing this post, we have been sending out some stuff via twitter/fb and our blog – most lately some progress on Milo, our in-development Unreal Engine-based companion to Silo. You can see info on that via the Nevercenter blog:
Glad people are posting here again. A few months ago I made another ship inspired by Burdisio’s concept artwork. It was fully modeled in Silo and textured in Substance Painter.
Great work man!
