C++ & 3DMax??

#1

Hi,
I’m very interested about learning how to program some animation. I know the basis of 3DMax and a little bit of C++ (no idea of MaxScript!). I would like to know if I can use these 2 tools to create an interesting animation. But I’m not very sure if I can export my models or objects created in 3DMax to for example OpenGl or Ogre, places were I can program the models in C++. Is that possible?
I think it is much easier and I can save time using 3DMax to create the models, however, 3dMax is not enough if I need to create a game where models have to move.
I’d really like to focus on the necessary tools to create a simple animation, and accept any advice on how to use C++ along with 3DMax.
Thank you!!

If you are looking to export to the Ogre3d engine from 3dsMax there are exporters available at the website:
