3D Artist (contract)

[url=""]Can you model a masterpiece out of a low-poly mop? Could you take on the challenge of modeling a Covenant control panel? Do you want the chance to create content for a blockbuster video game? Bungie Studios is looking for a contract 3D Artist who will create and enhance assets for our upcoming title, Halo 3 .

Responsibilities:

[ul]
[li]Create 3D assets for use in a game environment
[/li][li]Enhance existing 3D models by increasing vertex counts and creating and applying higher resolution textures
[/li][li]Unwrap UVW’s and texture assets created by other artists
[/li][li]Create variations of existing assets others have created (including damaged states)
[/li][li]Take direction from art leads and other artists to define and refine assets being produced
[/li][li]Bring assets from 3DS Max through our pipeline into the game engine
[/li][/ul]Qualifications:

[ul]
[li]1 plus years experience creating 3D art in a professional studio environment or in the mod community
[/li][li]Extensive experience working in 3D Studio Max
[/li][li]Experience working in Photoshop
[/li][li]Must be available to work on-site in Kirkland, WA for 9 month contract
[/li][li]Portfolio review required.
[/li][/ul]Plusses:

[ul]
[li]Familiarity with the Halo universe, art style, and video games.
[/li][li]Previous experience working in the games industry or mod community
[/li][li]Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Architecture or related field
