Browse portfolios

Hey,

I’m gonna be a bit of a pain in the arse here. The Browse Portfolios really needs a review.

At the moment, we’re just showing the avatar and some miscellaneous info about the artist. There’s no indication of the type of work that the artist produces, nor the amount of works on the CGPortfolio.

Is there a way of maybe using a layout similar to the “Portfolio Network” where you can see the avatar, user, and some of the works presented?

Basically, I think there needs to be a better way of presenting the portfolios so that you can browse without guesswork.

Add vote.

Additionally, it’s not really easy to even find the ‘browse portfolios’ section - it’s only that small textlink in the top navigation line, and nothing more. Assuming that recreational browsing would be one of the main features for non-portfolio owners, there really should be a more in-your-face link somewhere on the main portfolio startpage.

That sounds like a good solution Leonard; A lot of it is going to be a Tim job.

And yes, it’s just a text link… we’re currently short a designer - when he get’s back stuff like that will be made easier  I’ll see if I can hack something together tomorrow

Awesome work guys!

Just spent a lazy Sunday afternoon setting mine up. I’ve a couple of edits for the pulldown list of talents and softwares which I’ll send through to Antrent and Tim, but I’m staggered at the scope of this system.

Very impressed !:buttrock:
