box#2 convex hull ?

#1

Hi, new here. A quick question about box#2.
I’m trying to have 2 meshes interact with each other with box#2.
The problem is one mesh would be sitting inside the first mesh, like eg a drawer inside a closet.

When I start the simulation the second object inside jumps out immediately. I’m guessing this is because it interacts as a convex hull, instead of a concave hull. Any solutions/workarounds?

Thank you!

Build the the cavity with convex objects to create a concave, object ie 2 particles for the sides, one for each side (boxes that match the sides), a particle for the top and a particle for the bottom, and one for the back (not really necessary) Glue them together. Insert drawer.

Thank you! I came to this conclusion last night, and worked really good.
Consider the drawer inserted

Now your “cooking with gas” err… building with particles
