Bones of locomotion

#1

Hey all, bit of a strange request here – I’m a doctor in the UK building an anatomically accurate humanoid robot for research and I’m trying to get hold of a very accurate 3D model of the bones of the leg/lower back (pelvis, sacrum, femur, tibia and fibula - foot would also be handy).

Does anyone here have an anatomically accurate 3D model of the bones of the leg they’d be willing to send my way? For example ideally real bones that were laser-scanned or aquired from Computed Tomography (CT) data?

The models out there (even the expensive commercial options) seem to have been mostly created by eye from diagrams (probably the free 1901 edition of Gray’s Anatomy!). They look artistically convincing but they aren’t anywhere near accurate enough to assess joint angles, distances or mechanical loads.
