Mostly about texture and finishing things off…any tips would be useful!
Can you tell I’m a sponge leeching information off my favorite artists?! I’m suprised I haven’t been kicked off this forum yet! 
EDIT: Actually, you know what? I think you need to give him lips- that’s what’s causing the mouth area to look weird…
Paperclip - the texture in the bg is a combination of a whole bunch of textures… rocks, concrete, crumpled up papers… set to different settings and different opacities. It’d take some time to get into. Finishing off things is mostly about painting in half tones and painting in edges where needed. It’s about clarifying things that might confuse the viewer.

Maybe make the eyes a bit bigger, like in the original concept sketch? Right now they look like they could just be two spots in an ‘eye’ area…
