blender 2.61 crashes on exit of game mode.

For some reason I only have this problem with one blender file.
im using windows7 (probably doesn’t matter)

I found the problem is a mesh after deleting some meshes a few time to find the one that has been giving me the problem.
the only thing is its the main body of a hybrid helicopter im working on.

Is there any way to duplicate a mesh without duplicating the error?
or to recreate the exact mesh without the error?

Shift D duplicates the object including the error
