Blend Filter using Vray

#1

Hi There,

Newbie here, not sure, this is the correct forum etc, so apologies in advance.

I am having trouble rendering a large image using the Blend Antialiasing filter.

When I render a 200px image it comes up like this: http://www.mediafire.com/i/?xtbm5t6yrm6a7xj. I want the image to look like this, but on a larger format. The trouble is, when make a bigger canvas, and increase the size, it reduces the filter of the vray “Blend” and I get a standard image which looks like this: http://www.mediafire.com/?2sia1oekvx9yxwi.

Can anyone help me create the large image like the small image?

Many Thanks

Sam

increase the size of the filter accordingly in the antialias filter settings

Hi There,

Thanks so much for getting back, unfortunately, when I multiplied it up accordingly with the resolution, it just went really blurry. My output size is 2000pix, and it looks perfect at 100px.

tryy lowering the blend parameter.

But imho, its better to use a more standard filter and do this in photoshop. Its faster and offers more control

Thanks again for the advice.

Lowering the blend peramiter doesn’t work for me, it was on 3.00, reduced it to 0.3 and got the same results as last time.

Yeah the photoshop filter does not get anywhere close to the affect I want.

The closest I can get is a screened gaussian blur, unless you can think of a better filter?

duplicate layer, gaussian blur top layer and lower its opacity… no need to use screen blendingmode

Dosen’t look anything like the rendered one, do you think it is just impossible maybe?
