I’ve been working on these sketches where I use charcoal, smear and smudge brushes in Corel Painter X and a Cintiq 12WX tablet. I really like the fact that they are in black and white. However, the question I get from everyone I’ve shown them to is “Why are they not in color?”. The interesting thing is they only ask this question once they learn it’s a print and was created digitally. (I did numbered print for a local charity art auction.)
If traditional media can stand on it’s own in black in white, why not digital media?
