hey, nice one here, i like the texture. but the model seems to be a bit unbalance…between front and back. i like the lighting as well  Cheers.

#3

omg amazing model , 5 stars , and you can post some wires of model?

#4

yes,i agree that guy what he says.
i think the front of the model is a little bit large or long.

#5

very good work man. 4 stars from me:thumbsup:

#6

cool to see this finished…great work on the skin texture, looks great

The COG is too far forward, and as such the creature would fall over if it were real.

Unless the tail weighs a rediculous amount, it wouldn’t work, so therefore you need to move the legs forward closer to the middle of the creature, but not exactly at the middle.

Other than that, looks really nice. Textures are cool. Could possibly trying pushing the displacement on the scales up more.

I just miss some tension points… all the joints (knees, elbows…) seems so rounded…

overall looks good, but too smooth.

#9

Amazing textures! Modelling also great! I don’t see much COG trouble: I think it’s stable, because it leans forward with its BIG head. Maybe the ground looks too smooth for being dust and dirt, but it does so only because the other textures are superb and let it down.

Congrats.

Nice modelling and great work on texturing.

#11

this model is really great…
Although this guy is right- the tail should be much longer to give the beast good balance
I thing it will look better too with a longer tail

#12

great model. the drool is a great touch. i agree about the longer tail though, or adjust the pose to a more convincing balance. also, just in terms of presentation i feel the cropping of the image is a little distracting, maybe give a little more space on the sides so that the model isn’t right up against the edge of frame. rock on man

This just proves what I was saying though.

Try replicating this with simple objects in the real world, and you will see that physics won’t be on your side.

If it’s head is heavy, then it would fall over towards the front unless it’s tail weighed A LOT.

All you would need to do to correct this unbalance is to shift the pivot point (ie…the legs) forwards more to shift some weight back and lessen the ratio of front weight to rear weight.

Ever notice how a teder-todder on the playground has it’s pivot point in the middle, and not near one of the ends?

Chris, this is a really a beautiful piece, textures, modeling is flawless. I’m interested in seeing who uses this guy for a ride, so it does have a story component to it, that’s good. I’d only mention that these sorts of bipeds need more tail, it’s cantilevering a little unbelievably. The tail counter balances, - I won’t go on, you know all this stuff. In closing, I say - So what! It looks great. This is where I believe it’s completely fine to use artistic license. I think Abe’s Oddworld No. 1 had a creature with proportions somewhat thereabouts and it worked fine when Abe used it for transportation. I like your creature more for its saurian characteristics. Good work, look forward to more.

Beautiful texture on this badd boy! Yep balance issues perhaps. I am not really feeling the whole droll thing it does not seem natural perhaps its the thickness and the grey colour. Overall really nicely exectuted work. Cheers to progression.

Killer Biped character! Cheers!

Hi, well to tell the truth that isnt drool, its egg yolk from the eggs hes eating, if i spent more time on this i think i could have clarified this point a bit better with some wet areas on the eggs to imply this.
