#403

i love his glasses…cool style he’s a killer (fragger?)

#404

ZrO-1, the new cowboy looks fantastic! Way to pull a completely new character off in the last few days of the challenge. Can’t wait to see him in the final scene.

Take care!

Steve

Nice work Zr0-1. Get that coat on though! Without it he looks a bit village-people!:stuck_out_tongue:

That’s the wonderful thing about the world of 3d, you can cover up what you don’t want people to see! Good technique!

Oh and no probs with the cake! You can probably tell by the look of it that it took me all of 10 minutes!

Can’t wait for the final render.
:wip:

Well I couldn’t get the Cloth coat to work correctly, so I went back a couple steps to a stage befor I bound the mesh to the skeleton and I modeled the coat. Luckilly I exported the skin weights for the body, so I’ll just have to import them back in. I will have to weight the coat, but it’s simple so it (hopefully) won’t be too bad.
Here’s the pic:

#407

very nice clothes ! may you make the things in the shoes…(for horses do you understand?)

you can also make some charge (bullets and co) on the body, it may be cool

#408

I was going to add the spurs (the things on the boots for the horses) but there are no horses that the cowboy would need them for. He doesn’t even need them for the beast because he’s up in a wagon and not on it’s back.

As far as adding in more little details, I was going to do that as well, but the cowboy is going to be really small in the final scene so I’m not going to kill myself sweating the small stuff. Right now I just want to get him on the darn wagon and complete the scene by Sunday.

Thanks for the suggestions though. Maybe if I had more time I’d do something like that.

#409

yeah, i suppose you re right…time sucks…
but it s VERY cool anyway

Now THAT’S a cowboy! Coming along great Zr0-1. Is he going to remain standing?

It actually looks quite cool with him standing there, looking out towards something in the distance.

#412

Yeah - leave him standing with some sort of binoculars ->looking for those bad fellas!! Rock on :airguitar

#413

Lookin’ good!

man, i do wish i could finish mine off as well.
ah well, keep the good work up!

#414

Cool, I’ll leave him standing and looking off into the distance. I’m really glad you guys like him.

#415

Great piece of work Mr. ZrO-1!
I like the eyes on the burdenous bug, and the slime trail and…you know…Great stuff!

#416

(In the end it all comes down to 0 and 1.) …ok

in the end i have 0 crits. and 1 hope:a desktop 1024x768 (or more) image of ur last one!

U REALLY ROX :buttrock:

#417

OK, I’ve got the cowboy and his new coat & chaps all re-weighted. I also have him in the scene with the bug. I have him in a standing pose (so glad I don’t have to make him sit). I’m doing a series of renders now which will be my final image(s) the scene is to big to get everything in and still see all the detail stuff. The images have been getting rendered @ 1280x720, but what I’ll do is add a leterbox format to the finals so they fit @ 1280x1024, and I’ll get them on my server so I can link directly to the full-res versions here for you guys. This has been a fun challenge but I am exausted with this piece. I’m glad to be doing the final renders now. :surprised
Thanks to everyone who gave me such great critiques and suggestions throughout this piece. Pictures to come shortly.
