I hated the old collar so I re-did it. It turns out you guys were thinking along the same lines

OK guys here’s a little update. I gave my cowboy ears…man they suck to stitch to the head when you’ve smoothed both and deleted history first :surprised

Hey gang, I’ve gotten the legs roughed in. This is the un-smoothed version. I still have lots of tweaking to do, but its a start. Let me know what you think.

Great work on the sled! (I know I know, bit of a late reply :p) Looks cool, wet effect behind it looks nice aswell Very well done, espcially since you didn’t use any textures right?

As for the cowboy, looking good aswell Legs look ok I think, although I’m not sure about his ass, it’s a bit too… tight. Don’t know if you need it but perhaps this helps;

Looking good as usual. It might look cool to give him a big ol’ cowboy style belt buckle with an insignia on it thats similar to something on the carrige.:shrug: just an idea.:lightbulb

Thanks guys. Yeah his ass was way too tight in the unsmoothed version. It looked like he was trying to hold a potato chip in his cheeks and not crack it.

I have since refined the legs and smoothed the geometry. I also extended the shirt down a bit so it drapes over the hips.

I’ll be adding a regular belt, which his chaps loop onto as well as a larger gunbelt which his pistol hangs from…but not untill I finnish his hands and boots.

Here’s a test render with the hands and gun done. The hands were a project I had started before but never finnished. I redid parts of them and still have some work to do to them to finnish them, but they’ll work.

well looky here! Zro man…I gotta tell ask. where do you find all the time? man …can’t believe how quickly you work…!! looking great…one comment if I may…the forearms look a bit long compared to the biceps IMHO…keep up the great work!

@ Bezerker: I’ll give you a quick tut on how to get so much time for modeling:
First, Be a college student who only has one class currently.
Second, Make sure you are un-employed. If you have a job quit it, after all, it’s only money.
Third, be sure to sleep no more than 5 hours a night, even on weekends.
And lastly, spend the remaining 19 hours of the day working on the PC. You can only get up for food (to be eaten infront of the PC) and to go to the bathroom. (that last one is optional).

Follow these steps and you’ll be working the ZrO-1 way!

As someone who lives in the desert southwest (your scene looks strangely like my back yard…), this BOB hits particularly close to home.

I really don’t have any crits, just praise. And concern. The fact that you HAND MODELED those hairs tells me that, while brilliant, you are obviously insane and should be institutionalized immediately. Preferably at some high-paying production company in California.

@ Steve_W: Thank you for the praise. Yeah I’ve flown over the cookoo’s nest a few times while working on this piece. :surprised Your BoB is kickin ass as well. I hope the bug that came out of your sink wasn’t as big as my bug…otherwise you’d have a really big sink :rolleyes: LOL.

OK so I made the boots and I shortened the forearms a bit. Next will be the chaps, then a simple rig and the cowboys in the scene.

Wow, that is amazing. You havent gotten many crits, and i’m not about to start. I just cant see anything wrong with your creation. This is probably one of the best models i’ve seen in a long time.
