Heh, that should be fun…makes me think of a dark flintstones universe

Maybe padme could end up in the minecar somehow…wouldn’t be any more ludicrous a setup than that factory sequence.

that’s what i was afraid of =(

hmm, maybe for a more serious tone it could be hooked up to a pulley system or some other machinery, and making it function? like it moves the elevators or pumps the bellows, but there’s nothing balanced on its head…or maybe some kind of underslung headgear that carries the stuff…

May even be as simple as a stance change, once you get to the modeling phase I’m sure it’ll clear up…

anyway, no offense, that is what springs to mind tho. :hmm:

here’s another concept… this is a creature that is bred to haul boulders up sheer cliff faces… he has claws that stab into the rocks… i have no idea what kind of legs he would have, so i hid them behind boxes with boulders in them.

the gray part is a sheer cliff face.

nice idea !

#7

Great concept!! I can’t wait to see where this one’s headed!

#8

grrrrrrrr

kulu

Ah, very cool, like that one a lot…what if he didn’t have any legs? or they were all totally adapted to climbing? 6 legged monkey stance? Should be cool at any rate…

#10

UPDATE:

I’ve decided his legs will be shriveled up because he doesn’t use them anymore.

#11

Another angle… He’s really ripped up top, but he’s got some fat around his belly (even though there’s DEFINATELY muscle underneath) and his legs will be little and shriveled… sort of like the legs on WATTO from Episode I and II

#12

Nice definition! Images of Mortal Kombat come to mind for some reason, but I’m sure that will change!:stuck_out_tongue:
I’ll be definately watching the progress on this one!

#13

and a thumbnail

#14

Looking good! Dig the atrophied leg idea as well…should make for a funky balance. Rock on…

On a side note, have I mentioned enough how frustrating it is that any char with 4 arms gets branded mortal kombat? Maybe it’s a generational thing, but keerist! Why isn’t it ever ā€˜hey, that looks like clash of the titans’ or any of the other 4 armed chars that have been done? or just ā€˜hey, that’s a cool 4 armed character’… argh!

Anyway, sorry, rant off.

#15

i have to agree with you on that one, although i’m only 18, so Mortal Kombat is really my generation

workin on the little legs now!

#16

Sorry… next time I’ll kurb my ninties slurs. :hmm:
I probably say ā€œIt sort of looks like aā€¦ā€ a lot on these forums. I’ll refrain in future! Thanks for the dig.

#17

Bah, didn’t mean to be -that- harsh, don’t curb anything, just one of those ā€˜niagra falls’ kind of things, in the moment…I’m definitely an ā€˜it looks like…’ kind of guy.

Hell I grew up with MK too, am just a huge nerd and have all the other references on the brain

Sorry for the thread pollution for the pet peeve…

#18

still workin on the legs :bounce:

 here’s a wireframe/smoothshade/control mesh for you to feast your eyes on… DRINK UP!

#19

Nice work…

But just out of coriosity, isn’t this a bit close to a humanoid?

rule 5) can’t be humanoid

I don’t mean to sound like an ass, or anything… but…

wgeddes, that looks pretty awesome! I like the clif-climber idea. and the atrophied legs are an awesome touch. The model kinda reminds me of the big guy from Mortal Combat (  @ 'cube) LOL.
