thnx Virtuoso for your compliments, your too nice.

well heres the latest updates, the characters are set up and all i have left is to set up lighting, adding colors to the characters, environment, and a good composition(jeez, thats more than i thought)well, hope ya like, and crits would be welcomed.

and heres a closeup

#63

Really, really like this work Mr.tubby!!:applause:

I dont think there is anything to crit with the modelling…
but when you doing the final renders…I would maybe not feature the boulder as heavily in the composition…think colour etc etc…
but you already know this… right…?..

brilliant idea, and one I’ll be voting for!

#64

Tubby, I agree with Drongo. This rocks!

Great work! You’ve got my vote.

Take care,

Steve

#65

wow, thanks you guys. it feels great to hear you guys actually like it. i cant thank you enough for your help through this project. well i gotta get back to it, must finish, must endure, aaaahhh.

#66

Yup, I agree with everyone, exceptionally well modeled. I love the man, and the bird is great too. But I also agree with Drongo though, that rock is seriously killing your composition. Maybe either change its color, or add 100 more rocks of various sizes so that we don’t just focus on that “one” rock (in the middle of nowhere heheheh)

Great Job otherwise:thumbsup:  It was great watching your progress.

#67

nice modelling. I like if beast is in pose. Continue…

#68

thank you maxko!!
thnx apt pupil, yah i will totally change the color of the rock as well as the color of the entire piece, that rock will be accompanied by more (smaller)rocks. i gotta find a good angle to get the bird in tighter without losing the rest of the things.

#69

So this is what you’ve been up to;)

Your modeling skills are improving with every new polygon you craft! This is a great concept; one of the best of the lot. One o’ these days I’ll have to find the time to enter one of these challenges. You know, give you a run for the money:D

Congratulations on a job well done!

#70

ahahaha, thnx LF, i was wondering what happened to you!! thnx for all the compliments!!and im gonna drag you into the next challenge! that would be awesome if we did these together, keep in touch!!!

#71

Like I said, need to find the time first. Some of us have to work, after all:rolleyes:

I’d love to do it, though; perhaps I’ll just have to stop sleeping altogether:D

#72

yah, i get around the sleeping part by eating a constant diet of grounded coffe beans, forget diluting it with water, hell, i eatem straight out of the bag with a spoon. works great, only drawback is the occasional twiching eye.

#73

Coffee doesn’t realy work for me, except for the smell. I prefer tea! Wonderful, wonderful tea. Ahhhh…

But those beans must be doing something for you, because this model ROCKS! :airguitar

Such a brilliant concept, and works so well! Can’t wait to see the stony background you’re working on. One of the best in the challenge!

#74

hey guys heres what i think is the final environment for my scene. i think this will be one of my final images(maybe, unless you guys have suggestions), but i still gotta work on some more angles.

#75

Environment yes. Render no. I’m not sure all that bluriness and washed out lighting works.

Just my personal opinion!

#76

yah, i think your right, i got all excited to post this and realized it does look blurry. i think i got some more work to do, thanks for the crit erilaz

#77

hey your BOB is really great…I like IT really much…

#78
