lookin good chad man! glad to have u aboard, this defenetly will be an entertaining challange, me u ryan mike maybe brandon

good luck!

#3

I like! Very Kangarooesque!

#4

hey, nice concept! I really dig the feet. the straps that connect the beast to the contraption should be a bit lower for better weight distribution. It would be cool if the creature also used its arms to help it pull the contraption along. maybe give it a large block of wood in the front for it to grab onto and push.

good stuff though! can’t wait to see more!:stuck_out_tongue:

i am thinking of adding a structure for his arms and i have yet to design what he’s holding
any ideas anyone

#6

i am looking for a good web site to help me with the muscle structure
maybee a dinosour site
any links would be greatly appreciated
thnx

#7

Nice design. As far as the muscle structure. Anything you find about dinosaur muscle structure is basically guess work by someone (because fossils don’t have info on the muscle shape/size). If you want to base the muscles on something real I think a blend between an orangatang or chimpanzee for the upper arms and an ostrich for the legs and body would be your best bet. I’ll see if I can find any decient pics of those for you.

#8

here is a test i did ive basicaly only worked on the legs and its in peices i still havent found a good muscle reference so im wingin it :hmm:

#9

here is the final sketch of my beast and contraption tell me what you think

#10

hey, that’s a lot better. the bone-cart thing rules! whoever gave you the inspiration for that is the master!!!
still think it needs a giant laser cannon that could fire a laser that would deflect off of saturn and blow-up uranus.

peace out.

#14

The legs are really starting to look awesome. I love the little folds you added just above the heel. That’s such a nice little touch.

#15

damn u chad man! ur goin down! heh!

sorry this is a bit late, but for muscle structure, what i used was kinda a mix between human legs, and lion, because i worked on the griffon last challange i used alot of that knolledge the rest i kinda just made up  but it works eh

umm yea man ur hind quarters there are lookin pretty damn spiffy, witch means i have to step up my progress

good luck

Im having trouble with the arm.I cant seem to get it to look right were it attaches to the body. It doesnt flow right.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
thnx

#17

Maybe try making more of a curve where it meets the body, or a little shoulder. Looks good by the way.

#18

ahh chad, yes the arm doesnt attach very well, ive had this same problem when i started my character, i ened up starting again witch isnt the best advice heh, but i had the same problem with the griffon too, its hard to get that front arm to attach, right now it looks like it just sinks into the skin, u have to have the muslces from the chest and sholders form into the arm connection, u really ahve to get under the skin and make the muscles work for u, take a look at how certain animals are, like horses, lions  humans anything, ull get some ideas. try modeling his sholder blades figure out where tehy are and go from there, gl
peace

#19

I think the arms are too far forward on the chest. Try moving them out to the sides and closer to the back/spine. that might help tie them in a bit more.

#20

this Zro-1 character is a smart person. I totally agree. plus you should add a laser cannon.
