Beast of Burden - Character - .::STRIKE::.

Is that a cannon the beast is pulling? If so all you have to do is move the two wheels back to the end of the cart and re-enforce the supports that the beast is holding/strapped to.

#42

This is getting more and more interesting as you go…

4 wheels, definitely…as heavy as that cannon seems it would definitely tip and lift the beast up…looks to have a hard enough time pulling it without holding it up as well. I think pointing it upwards might be a good idea either way though, since it would pound him with recoil from firing…or is this cannon just being transported? I agree it needs more cart under it as well no matter what though.

#43

hmmm… my idea was just the cannon is being transported. I think if i keep only 2 wheels pulled back, the main piece will lost a part of its massive appearance, even if i renforce the holding stuffs to the beast and hiring it up.
In other way, puting 2 more wheels will add to this massive appearance, and will change nothing to the actual position and to the mass. Maybe i’m wrong…

The sure thing is that beast is just here to transport this cannon from a point to another, and has no matter to battle in any kind. So… still wondering…

joril : in fact the main cannon will be more a kinda big laser blaster, so the hole will be different  I have a ton of details to add to this blaaaassttt

#44

I agree with the 2 wheel eleccion. 4 is not so original. It’s true too about the bad actual balance. But i love the way the beast is a little inside or between the 2 giant wheels. So i will keep the original configuration and only move the cannon just over the wheels axis. Maybe your will have to move it up a little to avoid the driver place. And for the holding stuff remember that they have 2 use, the pulling use AND the stabilisation use ones the canon is deployed. Well, like all transportables canons. Think in that for further mods.
Hope this help you.
Cheers.

hey this guy is straining, the veins are a good touch, it kind of looks a bit surreal but also I keep thinking of a guy in a wheelchair. Keep going man …

#46

I would keep 2 wels too (more original)… and add maybe a little third one for the balance…

#47

ok… so i think i’m gonna keep only two and maybe 3 (i’ill test it Pascal), but just to a render to show you the 4 wheels version :

I changed the left arm too, to the right axis  thx for all your great critics guys !

#48

There isn’t a smiley big enough to show the amount of gobsmackedness I have for this model. The rickety look of the wheels is brilliant.

#49

Superbe réalisation .::STRIKE::. !!! tu as bien progresssé depuis tes premiers challenges  :applause:

#50

WOW~you are fast!damn good!and I agree the pascal blanch about the wheel~It seema little too crowded~

Thanks erilaz, Hiko  , and rex !

Well i think i found the solution for the burden :
I reduced the lenght of the cannon, so like that, the main burden seems to be stable in movement. As it is now, i can just keep the 2 wheels, and like on this last render, i will add a 3rd movable wheel, which will be working only to stabilise the cannon before shooting. I’ll add wood parts near the wheels to evit the back move when it will shot.

#52

tres bonne idée
ca devient de plus en plus beau
j n ai pas de rmqs particulieres mis a part pt etre l esieu qui me parait tres finement usiné par rapport au reste de la structure le la roue,
je trouve que ton image degage bcp d emotions

bvo:thumbsup:

#53

You’re going to make the cannon shoot horizonatally? The cannon ball won’t go all to far like that.

I don’t know about the balance, the cannon is not above the axis of the wheels, and with a cannon that massive, and a beast that near to the axis, I think the whole thing will work as a lever and lift your beast into the air.
The creature btw, seems to be designed to lean on it’s arms.
I think a good fix would be to move the axis backwards.

#54

So, modeling this last 3rd wheel, modifying the cannon, adding some details… tired… bed time

#55

This is better!nice job and thought~

#56

Great solution to the weight problem. The mods you made look goregeous. No crits, I think it’s perfect so far.

#57

tres bien petit strike ,super les l’idée des roues ,j adore ton bob ,si je me trompe pas les gances sont en cuir de wamapa non hi hi hi… :bounce:

keep it up dude

#58

adding some details, and the cannon pilot

Thanks all. Gabe : bien sûr que c’est du cuir de wamapaa ! :bounce:

#59

Nice! i really like the detail you have put in so far. I do have a suggestion also and that would be to move the beast farther out from the wagon-cannon cart thing so his back legs can be seen:) It would also help balance his load so he wouldnt get lifted up into the air

this is my fav at this time - very nice style - the anatomy of the hand
is too humanoid in my eyes - if he use the hand to move forward the skeleton deform with the evolution but :applause: this is my fav
