Beast of Burden - Character - skortch

Here’s my concept sketch. It’s a little stiff and symetrical, but the sketch has turned into my modeling templates.

There are some disparate elements that I’m hoping will come together in 3D. The front legs were originally bovine-ish, but I wanted a bit more flexibility in movement.

Here is a wip image, everything just blocked in and smoothed. Hmm, he sure looks happy right now - is that one of the guideline emotions? :slight_smile:

I’ve got to say many of the entries so far are amazing, and intimidating! Hey, at least it’ll be a learning experience for me. Great work everyone!

Now to start pushing points…

I love the “stuck-up” stubborn expression you gave your BoB. It adds a bit of humor to the piece. Very nice start.

Thanks for the replies, iC4 and Zro-1. I did some more work on him and I think I’m getting some attitude back…

Next I’ll work on the shoulders, delts, and chest, as the neck isn’t quite fitting right. (That’s a really tough area!) Then the rear legs, tail, maybe some knuckles, and should probably start on the harness and load, eh? Later…
