Beast Of Burden - Character(s) - AJ_23

And a little more playing… I sadly comitted one of my pet peeves on this one - I didn’t weld the model together before I hit PrintScreen :annoyed: (It only takes 10 seconds to do and it always bugs me when people show unwelded models… but in this case I am that person. Sorry.)

Gratuitous Arse Shot :surprised

What a giant mm ass  Your going toony on this right? Just some forehead wrinkles and the head will look amazing. I’ll wait on the ah, other parts.

That is one big ass. It looks cool man, nice concept!

#24

Baby’s got back!
You AJ, hows about an update here, I’m starvin for some new pics of your to drool over.

#25

Love the expression on his face, your teeth are consistently distinctive, I really dig the style. :xtreme:

Have to agree on the balance issue though, won’t he find it hard not to topple over?

(What with the walking and the running and the toppling, wha-hey-huaey! - he says mimicking Prof. Frink for those wondering what on earth I’m on about)

#26

Found some time to fiddle about with this guy a little more - not a great deal of progress to show… but at least his head’s finally caught up with his arse (so to speak) :stuck_out_tongue:

The feet are just rough stand-ins and the ‘harness’ is of course just a basic shape for the moment.

Hope to have his arms, feet, harness and (dan-da-dum-dum) owner done over the up and coming days. Although I also hope for an endless bowl of twix’s and kit-kats, so it may not happen…

#27

modelisation is clean, I’m waiting for more details

#28

That’s purdy. Yeehaw!
Looks like you’ve been given a bum steer…

(How many more poor botty jokes can we cram into this thread?)

#29

Q:
What do you call a two legged, pot-bellied cow?

A:
An UDDER-ly cool beast of burden!

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

#30

Oh please… I hate being the butt of everyone’s jokes…

So cud we just moove on - I heffer headache.

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

(god that’s poor - I’m sorry…)

Just a little unsmoothed wf that I forgot to post, will get cracking on the details right away!

#31

finally an update, was waiting for one to see what would come about your sketches, I didnt think the arse was enough to say “HEY GREAT JOB!” ha, a little sarcasm, but anyhow, nice and clean model, good body structure, great so far, keep the updating bud, this thing is starting to come to its own… What app you using, saw your last challenge and it was fantastico! Keep it coming… :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Thanks for the very kind comments Shaun!

I really regret posting that bloody awful photoshop doodle - I would’ve preferred a sort of ‘guess what this is’ kinda thread. Curse those bloody guidelines!

I’m using Max 4.2 with the obligatory meshtools/CSpolytools. Last challenge was also done in Max - with a little bit of Rhino chucked in.

Started fleshing out his arms - but not really enough to get feedback on (says a man who posted a GL grab of two buttocks… ahem), but will post some piccys tomorrow.

C&C’s are always more than welcome (although with this amount of entrants - it’s pretty hard!)

#33

thats comming along really nice! great character and nice and clean modeling:)

#34

Well - not much of an update here (could the admins write a script so that all my posts start of with thos words?) :stuck_out_tongue:

Just fleshing out some arms and a couple of little details - been working on the owner too, but nothing showable yet (apart from his chair for the eagle eyed viewers among you).

Feet are still arse, will work on some proper ones. Oh and some hands. And a better harness… and some straps. Erm, and the owner. And - oh just everything.

Moo!

#35

LOL AJ, that’s a good update. The arms are tied into the body very well. I didn’t realize the cow-beast was going to be so huge (looking at the little chair on the harness yolk). I might consider making the rider a bit larger than that.

#36

Nother couple of views - really just an excuse to get his fat behind in :stuck_out_tongue: - ant to show that I’m toying with the idea of a nose ring… Do people think good? Or Bad?

(Oh, the tails just an inclination at the moment)

MOOOOOO!

#37

It’s not the cow who is big - but the owner who is small…

(hopefully it will work better when they’re together!)

But saying that - I think you’re right, the chair is pretty small - I’ll make it bigger.

Cheers

#38

he’s never gonna be able to handle the shovel necessary for an arse that big

#39

hey bud,

you came this far, I really hope you end up finishing this thing, its really a great piece you have there. I was wonderig something about your lighting setup for I notice you have great lights with your work. Do you use a rendering program, or is everything done with Max render?? Love to know how you go about those setups! anyhow. Get back to work! only so many hours left…

Nose ring works very well. You’d better finish this model, or POW!:wip:
