update… man… the proportion are going more and more rhino like
Beast of Burden - Character - pascal blanché
No eyes, no ground, and I know no yellow bull…
Try again mister Blanché.
This ain’t the good way to find a respectable work in CG.
at last -
That is some great stuff PB! I really like the skin folds and structure definition. If you make it blue, it could be Paul Bunion’s ox Babe.

looking good…would you look at the ass on that bull…sweet !!!..lol…I think his legs look a little short…and the nose a little squashed…I know you just started the model…just wanted to give my two cents before you have it perfect and there is nothing to crit…lol…anyway keep it going…looking good!
Wow Pascal Blanché is entering, this is going to be great! I’m liking it so far, my only crit would be to add a wee little tail.
Hey pascal I saw your art in the recent magazine, I have seen it all from your page before, you inspire many people, myself included. Anyway I thought I would give this thread a bump, noone should ever have to look for your work, it should always be at front and center. -Jeremy-
Hey Pascal cool to see you here fighting with us in the mud. It’s cool that you still like to get dirty.
Ok here is a comment about your model, the shoulder man, i think they’re too separate. You should close them up. The back is looking cool but some spine modeling should be cool. And the last, no wrist? It’s bull but they’ve wrist too, it’s called i don’t know how, mmm boulet? Well this comments are of course only if you want to keep your model anatomicaly close to a real bull.
Otherwise bon boulot!!! J’espere voir bientot les prochain updates!!
A la prochaine…
Not rubbish not cow but a “lot of bull”
How’s the harness going to look, traditional style?
little update, didnt have the time to go as far as I wanted didnt worked on the feet yet, didnt do lots of things …need cofee…
Wow pascal nice change to the head! You had a nice Ox going before, but I really like this new head design much more. The head itself almost has a “turtley” quality to it which I think actually works really well with the rest of the beast. And I LOVE that subtle twist you have on the tusks. I almost missed it the first look, and had to go back and examine the pic harder to see it. Really excellent work so far mt man! ![]()
[edit] would you mind taking a look at my piece and give me your 2 cents on it? [/edit]
thx Zro… but for now the proportions are not going the way I want… now he look way too much bulked for me…
Ah, I just figured you wanted the bulkiness. If you want to reduce the ‘bulk’ with out really reducing the mass try brining the “armpits” of the legs up closer to the shoulder (or hip in the case of the rear legs). That should help with some of the bulkiness the torso has without overly slimming-down the overall proportions you have.
thats actually a good idea! He could wrap his tounge around tree limbs and strip the leaves to eats and long blades of grass. Assuming ofcourse that he is a herbavore:buttrock:
As usual, an awesome character, Pascal!!
I love the tusks!!! Much more interesting than conventional horns!
